David Cook Sings Always Be My Baby on American Idol's Final Three

How Did David Do on Hometown Week? Read On!

Back on Mariah Carey week, David Cook had the nerve to sing "Always Be My Baby" and made it sound completely unlike my all time favorite Mariah song ever! I am not sure if I have forgiven him yet or not. This is because I am still contemplating whether he sang or slaughtered it!

His first song of the night was "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack. How much lamer could Simon get as this was his pick? Yes, David never sings ANYTHING the way it was originally sang, but he still can't do anything to change the lyrics. It's a good thing he had two more songs to sing.

The second song he sang was his choice, and of course - he picks "Dare You To Move". What a surprise - an alternative rock number which puts him in his element! Is there any question what style his first album will be? Seriously?

The third song tonight to get the David Cook alternative treatment was the producers choice for David which was "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." This song is one of the most romantic songs ever, and David didn't completely make it over. He made a few changes here and there, and the song was great.

David is definitely going to make the Final 2!
