David Letterman Affairs Scandal: Who Were David Letterman's Alleged Affairs With?

Extortion Plot Exposes "The Late Show with David Letterman" Host and Employees to Sex Affairs Scandals

Although one might have missed "The Late Show with David Letterman" Thursday night, one segment of the late night talk show cannot have escaped anyone's attention by Friday morning: David Letterman braved scandal and made a public confession to sexual affairs with employees and the extortion plot to reveal them on the show. David Letterman said that he hoped that by going to the proper authorities he could protect those he had been involved with, his family, himself, and his job. For a few solemn moments, the 62-year-old David Letterman made his confession, outlining how he had found a package in his vehicle three weeks previously, details to plans of revealing his sexual affairs with various employees, and an extortion demand for $2 million not to write a screenplay about the affairs. David Letterman then talked about explaining it all Thursday to the authorities and that it was all just a "bizarre experience."

And the question that lingers now, especially after the announcement, according to the Associated Press, of the arrest of CBS "48 Hours" investigative journalism show producer Robert Joe Halderman on suspicion of extortion charges, is: "Who had sexual affairs with David Letterman?"

Of course, that question most likely would be followed by a multitude of other connected questions, such as: How many affairs did he have? Were any of the sexual affairs during his relationship with longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko, who David Letterman married in March? Were the affairs unearthed by the blackmailer only of Letterman employees while he was with CBS or did the extortion umbrella include possible affairs he had had with NBC employees (when he hosted "Late Night with David Letterman") as well?

In his own words, David Letterman told the audience, which at times did not know whether to laugh, applaud, or simply listen, that the scandal was potentially embarrassing. He said that the blackmailer had accused him of having sex with employees of his show. "My response to that is, yes I have," Letterman told the stunned audience. "Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would, especially for the women."

Self-deprecating as always, Letterman would end the confession by saying, "I know what you're thinking: 'Letterman had sex?'"

And although the popular talk show host may have done the right thing, the responsible thing, the one thing he did not do was protect himself, his show, his family, and the list of women he had sexual affairs with from public scandal. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there now will be hundreds, if not thousands, of investigative journalists, freelancers, bloggers, and private detectives culling the lists of female employees that David Letterman has worked with over the years in order to scoop a huge expose.

The story of the moment is David Letterman's confession and extortion plot. And as the scandal unfolds, tomorrow's story will be in the discovery of the women with whom Letterman had sex...

You may be correct with your statement of single men playing the field. But it has shown in media over and over again that many people who are married do commit adultry. Imagine how many there are that do not make it to the media. Your statement seemed to be dull and not too understanding of what really goes on with men especially in power.

If David Letterman was a single man during the time of the affairs, it appears to be the norm. Many single men play the field before they commit. I hope he gets a respectable attorney and goes after Halderman for greed and slander. He is intelligent, It is his life and no one can live it for him.

I would love to hear what Palin had to say about this sly fox!! Other than that
I could care less. Well maybe some chat about how well he preformed would be OK.
I wonder how many of the women were married or in a "meaningful" relationship.
Oh, I really like the part about how David did this to "protect" the women involved. Well we all know one women he wasn't trying to protect.
Thank you Dave for being the JOKE!!!!

Letterman tapes his shows in the afternoon. That way he can keep his nights free for the Top 10 most pleasant side of life. Too bad I am now too old to know what to do with "flex time".

This does not surprise me in the least. I watch the show for cheap thrills and some of the guests he has on the show. But frankly it happens all the time and lets face it, our western culture does not have a strong fatihfulness like it once did. There are very few relationships without infidelity these days. So lets move on to the more important things such as poverty, illnesses, mental health. I think you get my point, at least I hope.
