David Lohr's Show Axed by Discovery Channel

Dana Williams
For the past several years the name David Lohr has been synonymous with the true crime genre and in recent years, missing persons. Unfortunately, according to Simon Barrett at BNN, Lohr and dozens of other Discovery employees were given their pink slips this week due to profit drops and a merger with the folks at HowStuffWorks.

"David was the linch-pin of the Investigation Discovery site. He is an outstanding journalist, and to do this to him boggles my mind," Simon wrote. "David Lohr is one of the great advocates for missing children, his work on the Caylee Anthony search is a case in point. Unbiased, objective, and always probing, his articles on the case were the ones that people read first."

Lohr was an employee of CourtTV for some 10 years before coming over to the Discovery Channel's newest network, Investigation Discovery, where his fame grew as a result of his involvement in several high-profile missing person cases, including the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony. Lohr was also know to attend missing person searches and has put up reward monies in several missing person cases.

Barrett and other writers find it off that one of the most proactive missing person advocates has had his voice silenced by a network that boasts it dedication to educating the world.
