Taylor is best known as a contestant from MTV's Making the Band 4, where he was chosen by Diddy to be a member & one of the main vocalists of Day26 on August 26, 2007. American singer and song writer.

Willie Taylor on going Solo

Willie Taylor: Well, it's not really a solo project. It's just me showing my writing, because I think that really got lost with the television show.

Like people always saw me as a artist, but they didn't know what - to what extent.

I mean, they didn't know if I wrote or if I produced.

I did some records for Avant, Jagged Edge, Ginuwine, and Joe, Tyrese.

And I did some records on Day26, Forever in a Day album, too, but like a lot of stuff never, you know what I

I'm saying, got to a point where people knew exactly who I - who I am as a writer and a producer. So I got in the studio, and I just got it cracking.

Inspiration

Willie Taylor: Well, I just - I was writing at a young age.

You know, of course my first songs was pretty cheesy, but at the end of the day, that was the first time that I got introduced to, you know, really writing or whatever.

So I just found a passion, and it's just how I got a passion for singing.

So you understand, I didn't want that to just get overshadowed and not looked upon, so like I just had to do it.

Willie Taylor: I wanted to show people I can write a whole album on one topic, and you know what I'm saying,

I just wanted to start with the bedroom topic. And I had actually wrote a song called "Sex Tape
