Daydreamers

T.S. Garp
I didn't know what day it was this time
I looked around and saw the sun above
I didn't know where I was, I didn't see any sign
I felt the warmth and but said where is the love

I didn't know if I was awake or asleep
My mind seem to dance across the walls of time
Below was a lake and I wanted to take a leap
The message wasn't clear, like words strung out in a rhyme

I was lost in a dream feeling perplexed when I saw her and needed to find a way
I remember the endless nights, the joyful dizziness that came before this
I walked over, closed my eyes standing next to her and I said stay
Kissing under the strobe lights, all-encompassing musical sounds of the mist

Her lips were wet and she smiled at me sweetly
My heart ran fast, was it wrong to dream aloud?
Her perfume a gift, and she made love to me wickedly
Will the sandman finish his task, and spoil it making me see clouds

I opened my eyes again and you were gone
Surrounded by nature I meditated on the answers to you
Transported back to my hilltop domain and chanting my farewell song
I heard clashing thunder, rain, and knew the solution was true

In a token of faith I realized so clearly, that the answers lie within me
So don't let the pain, uncertainties, get you down
Spoken inside my head so majestically, don't let the shadow of doubt ruin love, can't you see? You've got to maintain, keep a positive spin and faithful sound

The alarm clock went off next to me!
I don't know where, what, or how? All done overnight like a charismas carol without the freight. I woke up, a new day, people happy and free, O let it be!
I pushed my doors open and ran down the street out of sight.

I traveled far and light seeking a tender spectacle
She awoke too, thinking of me, and her heart sang long, wishing there was a way
She opened the door to her house and behold my eyes, a princess of winter, beautiful miracle. She held me tight and strong, and said O please this time stay

Locked in a cradle of love, we leave all bad dreams behind......
No more daydreaming to cloud our my mind
Talked so sweet words, so tender a moment making the time...... .
Together we will make the world more sweet and kind
