Daydreams

Wayne Howard

The dreamer dreams his dream
And his dream is mine
All that ever was and is and shall be
Water, earth and fire with air entwine
To make a world that seems
To live apart from dreams

But when the dreamer wakes
Whose waking shall it be?
What of creatures, skies and solid earth?
Outside the dream what would one see?
The dreamless one has paid the price,
He lost the gates of paradise.
