Days of Our Boots

We stay in our little corner
with very few left to do
but sit here like a couple of watchers
reminiscing those days when we were new

We traveled the world
in first class or in coach
under a chair we stayed curled
waiting for our landing approach

We made sure to keep you warm
in the winter and in the fall
for summer and spring we were put in our dorm
stored in a box neatly against the wall

We have walked for miles
visited many places on the way
we were looked at with many smiles
oh what beautiful boots, many would say

We went with almost everything you bought
looking great with all that you wore
we were exactly what you bethought
getting compliments and stares galore

Oh yes, those were the days
full of adventure in the rain and sun
thinking that we would never part ways
keeping you company throughout all the fun

But those days are gone from when we were younger
So now we sit and wait in our own little corner
