Daytona, Florida's Fall and Spring Festival Seasons

They Go Way Beyond Spring Break, Bike Week, and Daytona 500

Many people are familiar with Daytona's claim to fame as one of Spring Break's capitals for many years, Bike Week which has become quite big and of course the Daytona 500 car race which draws a lot of racing fans.

However, Daytona has a lot of other activities and functions throughout the year which can also give them a genuine claim on fun. So, if you're in the area, just check out of the different activities that are lined up from now to next spring.

This guide is divided up into sections on different types of venues so you don't need to read through the entire list to find what you're looking for:

Cars, Cars and More Cars:

Daytona Turkey Run:

November 26-28, 2010 located at the Daytona International Speedway on 1801 International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach, this is billed as the Southeast's largest swap meet and car show. For more information call 386 255 7355 or 386 767 9070.

Rolex 24 Hour Race:

January 29-30, 2011 at Daytona Beach International Speedway on 1801 International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach there will be the superstars of sports car racing from the fields of NASCAR and open-wheel.

Daytona 500:

On February 20, 2011 at the Daytona International Speedway on 1801 International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach forty-three of the top stock car racers will participate in this world famous race. Call 800 PITSHOP for more information.

Daytona Beach Car Show and Swap Meets:

March 23-25, 2011 from 1pm-4pm at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach there will be a swap meet as well as a car show. For more information email jimmy@daytonabeachcarshow.com.

Even More Motorbikes:

The next three events run concurrently in different areas of Daytona in conjunction with the main event which is the first entry.

Biketoberfest:

October 14-17, 2010 the whole area is going to be crowded with bikes, bike enthusiasts and bike related activities such as shows, rallies and demonstrations in this very popular annual event. You'll get to see the newest and latest models demonstrated as well as the custom and vintage, rare bikes.

Main Street Rally:

On Main Street, other than the fact that you're going to witness thousands of motorbikes from all over the world, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, shop at various vendors, have something tasty to eat and get in on some free give-aways. Fall Cycle Scene:

At the Daytona International Speedway on 1801 W International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach you will find vendors, displays and demonstrations as well as food. Call 800 PITSHOP for further information.

Country Mystery Road Motorcycle Tour:

October 18, 2010 with a 9am registration, the tour begins at 10am at Daytona 200 Motorcycle Club on 3602 W International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach. There's a choice of a 150 and a 200 mile guided tour covering Florida roads which most visitors don't normally see. Call 386 717 1888 for more information.

33rd Annual Toys for "Our Kids" Motorcycle Run:

November 21, 2010, 8:45am at the Daytona Motorcycle Club on 3602 International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach, there will be free live music and food among other entertainments along with the race, to benefit the Children's Home Society of Volusia, Flagler and Putnam Counties. Bike Week 2011:

During March 4-13, 2011 there will be exhibits, shows, concerts, racing as well as street festivals all over Daytona Beach. This is so huge that the participation isn't limited to just Daytona Beach. It overflows into the Tampa area.

Music and Art:

Daytona Blues Festival:

October 8-October 10, 2010, there's going to be a whole list of Blues musicians giving you plenty of reasons to spend some time enjoying Blues, such as Victor Wainwright and the Wild Roots, J.P. Soars and the Red Hots and Matt "Guitar" Murphy to name a few.

This event is being held at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark at 105 E Orange Avenue in Daytona Beach. There will also be food and refreshments. Call 386 846 7302 for more information.

10th Annual DeLand Original Music Festival:

November 6, 2010, 1pm-1am, in downtown Deland there will be over one hundred acts being showcased on 21 stages. there will be jazz, hip hop, Bluegrass, country, rock, blues to name a few of the types of musicians who will be demonstrating their skills. This is sponsored by the Songwriters Showcases of America. Call 386 308 2694.

Halifax Art Festival:

During November 6-7 2010, 9am-5pm, Saturday and 10am-4pm, Sunday, this will be in Riverfront Park on Beach Street in Daytona Beach. This is the forty-eighth year this festival has been presenting work from hundreds of artists and crafters from all over the country. There will also be live entertainment.

Halifax Uncorked! Food, Wine, Barley, Jazz Festival:

During November 19-21, 2010 at the News-Journal Center, Downtown Daytona Beach, there will be all kinds of wine, jazz and celebrity food events sponsored by Daytona Beach International Festival. For more information call 386 226 1927.

DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts:

November 20-22, 2010, 10am-5pm, on Woodland Blvd in Deland , more than 200 artist from across this country, will be showing and selling their artwork. For more information call 386 738 5705.

An Evening with Judy Collins-Holiday and Hits:

December 10, 2010 at 7:30pm at the Peabody Auditorium on 600 Auditorium Blvd in Daytona Beach, Judy will be in concert. For more information call 386 671 3460.

Daytona Beach International Festival:

April 28-May 15, 2011 the London Symphony Orchestra will be sponsoring their biennial music event in their official American home which will host more than 50,000 people who will be enjoying 125 performances by 200 musicians in more than 30 locations. For more information, call 386 257 7790.

Walks and Runs:

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer:

On October 23, 2010, 8-11am at Riverfront Park on Orange Avenue and S Beach Street
in Daytona Beach, there will be a 5K Walk to "help promote early detection of breast cancer"
and to raise awareness of various programs that are available. Call 386 274 3274

Light the Night Walk: Taking Steps to Cure Cancer:

October 23, 2010, 5-9pm, at the Oceanfront Band shell in Daytona Beach, is the location for this annual walk that's promoted all over the US and Canada to help raise funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies.

Annual Daytona Beach 1/2 Marathon:

On October 30, 2010, The run goes from 7 to 11:30am at Daytona International Speedway.

Ragnar Relay Florida Central:

On November 20, 2010, 10am-8pm at Oceanfront Band shell in Daytona Beach, this relay starts in Clearwater and passes through Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey and the Ocala Forest on the way to Daytona.

Embry Riddle Wings and Waves Air Show:

October 9-10, 2010, 11am on both days at Ocean Park at the Daytona Beach Pier on 250 N Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach, you will see aerial action by Matt Chapman, Michael Wiskus and Ron Holland snowbirds from Canada. This is free. for more information call 407 846 8808.

TNA Wrestling at Ocean Center:

October 10, 2010, 9pm at the Ocean Center on 101 N Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach is the location and time for Nonstop Action Wrestling's "Bound for Glory" pay-per-view event which will be including such wrestling's

WKA's Daytona Cometic Gasket Kartweek:

December 28-30, 2010 at Daytona International Speedway on 1801 International

National Cheerleader Association National Championships:
