D-Box Surround Sound Movie Theater Home Viewing Chair

The Name Might Be a Mouthful but it Will Be Something You'll Get Used to Talking About

A trip several years ago to a movie theater down south changed my life forever. I was able to catch a movie in one of the most high tech theaters that I have ever been. It was in this theater that the seats that we sat in had built in surround sound systems and vibration controls. You could actually feel everything that was happening on the screen before you. I have looked hard and long for a product that could deliver to me the same experience. The following is my review of D-Box's X3me surround sound reclining chair.

This product will blow your senses when you use it. The X3me is a stylish recliner that has multiple actuators built into the chair. These actuators will "act" whenever something happens during the movie you are viewing. For example, whenever a explosion happens, you will hear it and feel it as well. At first this can come off as quite the strange feeling but it will actually greatly enhance your viewing experience for the better.

Now for even more cool stuff. Believe it or not but these chairs have the ability to produce accelerations ranging from 1 to 2 Gs and 11 movements per second. That is a lot of force to be coming out of a recliner in your home! The loud vibrations that you feel and the blasting sounds that you hear at the movie theater are the same sounds and vibrations that you will be able to feel right where you are sitting. Hopefully that gives you a better understanding of how powerful this chair actually is.

One huge negative about this product that I absolutely hate has to do with the fact that not all movies work with the chair. There are only a certain couple dozens of movies that have been specially modified for the chair. This is because companies have yet to want to invest money into offering these formatted movies because there is not a huge market yet. When you have to sell out a couple of thousand dollars for the chair you can see how this can be disappointing.

D-Box is currently working on more chairs that will use the same technology. They are also working on ways to enhance the vibrations and sounds without hurting us in the process. This testing phase takes a long time because of how dangerous certain jolting of the body can be. So far I love my chair and if any of you are movie fans like me I highly advise you look to purchase one as well.
