DDF was first developed in 1991 by by Dr. Howard Sobel, a New York dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon where he pioneered the merging of cosmetic surgery with topical skin care. First known as HDS, the name was changed to DDF in 1995 with its famous branding of "Cleanse, Protect, Treat." The success of the products led to a buyout of the company in 2007 by Procter & Gamble where it sells alongside their other world famous brands such as SK-II, Olay, Hugo Boss, Wella, Graham Webb, Sebastian, and Pantene.
Among the most popular of the DDS products are their basic cleanser and revitalizers. Their dermatologist formulated products are known for both their effectiveness and affordability. Let's take a look at some of their most popular products.
DDF Discoloration Reversal-Pod
These little treatment packs allow you to squeeze a small pod filled with a single application through an exfoliating pad. They are used to target discolored areas such as age spots, melasma, freckles, and acne scars. The key ingredients are Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10) which is an antioxidant, Vitamin C, and licorice root extract, both of which lighten the skin. It takes about 3 weeks of daily use for visible results. A pack of 28 pods carries a cost of $70.00.
DDF Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Moisturizer
This product, containing the maximum strength of glycolic acid allowed by law for home application works wonders in the exfoliating and cleaning the skin. It has been demonstrated that glycolic acid markedly reduces the appearance of fine lines and firms the skin to further reduce other signs of aging while delivering combined nutrients deep into the layers of the skin for full saturation and effectiveness. The other ingredients of this product are Sodium PCA, Zinc, Vitamin E, and Glutathione. Because of the strength of the product, it is recommended to apply only once every other day for the first two weeks. A 1.7 oz. bottle sells for $45.95.
DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser
This foaming cleanser is gentle, yet reduces oil on the skin without over-drying. It both helps to remove red inflammatory blemishes and reduce their recurrence in the future. It works through a combination of 1% Salicylic acid, 1% Azelaic acid, Red Clover, and Golden Seal Extract. It can be used as many times per day as necessary and comes in a 6.6 oz. bottle for $29.95.
DDF Mesojection Healthy Cell Serum
This serum delivers vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-aging peptides deep into the skin without need of a needle. The direct topical application of the serum prevents damage, wrinkles, fine lines, dullness, and many other signs of aging. It works through Acai Berry (a powerful antioxidant), Matrixyl 3000 (stimulates collegen), and Embilica (for a healthy shine.) A 1 oz. bottle sells for $79.95.
DDF Enhancing Sun Protection SPF 30
This formulated product is used to even out the natural skin tone and complexion while providing protection from UVA and UVB rays. It blends with your natural skin tone to provide a shine and glow under the sun. A 4 oz. bottle sells for $29.95.
DDF Fade Cream SPF 15
This skin lightener also protects from UVA and UVB rays for the active user. It can also be used in combination with make-up so you can fade your melasma, freckles, and hyperpigmentation while performing your regular business and leading your normal personal life. A 1.7 oz. bottle sells for $40.00.
While these are the best-selling products for DDF, they have a host of others available for purchase online and at retail outlets worldwide. For more information, visit www.ddfskincare.com .
