DEA Agents Raid Dr. Murray's Clinic: Michael Jackson's Personal Doctor

On July 22, 2009 DEA launched a surprise raid on the clinic of Dr. Murray, the former Michael Jackson's personal doctor. Could detectives be looking at manslaughter charges? The police are still not saying whether or not Dr. Murray is a suspect.

Dr. Murray was with Michael Jackson when the entertainer was on his dying bed. Dr, Murray applied CPR to Mr. Jackson, on the bed, for approximately 45 minutes, in an attempt to survive the Superstar, before 911 was called.

Dr. Murray went to the hospital with Mr. Jackson; However, when Michael Jackson's sister looked for the doctor to talk to him, he couldn't be found. The doctor resurfaced after three days. He had at least two interviews with investigators and his attorney said he was cooperating.

One of the items that was taken from the clinic appeared to be a computer's hard drive. Therefore, the police may be seeking manslaughter links.

Diprivan, that is never to leave the hospital, was found in Mr. Jackson's rented mansion. Diprivan is used in the operation room to put patients under when undergoing surgery. It is kept in a locked secured area in the hospital.

Oxygen and IV poles were, also, in Michael Jackson's mansion. If diprivan was found in MJ's body, it had to have been administered by someone other than Michael Jackson. Mr. Jackson couldn't have done it himself. Diprivan is a slow drip drug, the minute it goes in your body you go to sleep and the minute it stops you wake up. Dr. Murray was with the Icon when he died, so it is no surprise that he would be investigated. The doctor denies giving Michael Jackson diprivan or any other dangerous drugs. However, something went terrible wrong that caused the Superstar to go into cardiac arrest.

The question has come up by several people, "How much responsibility should be placed on Michael Jackson?" People said he asked for the drug, he paid for the drug; he wanted the drug, so he should be held responsible. Mr. Jackson suffered from a sleeping disorder called insomnia. He was an entertainer; he was looking for 8 hours sleep so he could get through the next day, so he could get through rehearsals. He needed sleep so badly, he paid out any amount of money it took to have a doctor help him sleep; he trusted these doctors; and the medicine that they gave him. He said his doctors assured him that the drug they gave him was safe.

No matter how much money is involved, no matter how famous the patient may be, the doctor's first concern should be the patients safety and well being. Doctors should never give his patient dangerous or deadly drugs jsut because the patient asked for it. Dr. Murray's attorney stated that since the king of pop died Dr. Murray have been getting threats. His attorney said the doctor needs a body guard 24/7 and are being harassed everywhere he goes.

I honestly don't believe any doctor wanted MJ dead; however, something went wrong on the day Michael Jackson died. Dr. Murray is only one of many doctors that treated the entertainer. He never admitted to giving Michael Jackson diprivan or any dangerous drug. This is something that the investigators will have to sort out.

I would hope the fans hold up off the threats and let the investigation take its course. Let the authorities get to the bottom of what really killed Michael Jackson. I hope the fans don't want anything to happen to Dr. Murray; they need to find out why Michael Jackson died.

On the same day the surprise raid was launched on Dr. Murray's clinic; the coroner's office subpoenaed the records of Michael Jackson's former nutrition, Cherilyn Lee. Cherilyn Lee said during the time she treated MJ he asked her about diprivan and if she could find a doctor to help him sleep. Cherilyn Lee said the coroner's office only wanted hard copies of what she already stated. If she hadn't spoken out; the investigators may not have known to look for diprivan.
