And, if dead birds falling in Arkansas and Louisiana weren't enough for conspiracy theorists, religious fundamentalists, and the remaining few Americans not identifying themselves in those two groups, dead birds have fallen from the sky once again. On a street in Sweden called Falköping , southeast of Skövde. Residents found 50 to 100 jackdaws.
The appalling death site-twisted black wings, clenched grimacing beaks, snapped yellow bird legs, and exploded tiny bird ribcages-has been blocked for the inspection of veterinarians.
I'm sorry I called for more destruction-it seems I've gotten what I'd wished for. In my previous article linked above, I told God: If you're going to give us a plague with dead birds and dead fish (83,000 found rotting along a river's bank 100 miles West of Beebe, Arkansas, where the initial dead bird drop happened), then give it to us! Give us a real plague! Fill our streets with dead birds. Give it to America like You gave it to Egypt!
Perhaps I spoke too soon. Now Sweden. The carnage continues. Will your city be next? Will the birds continued to be punished? And what if it's not a plague but a wild card up the collective Al Qaeda sleeve? These days anything is possible. But why take it out on the birds? Why not Senators? Why not Pentagon officials? If it is the terrorists, they sure know how to beat around the Bush. Give us something to marvel at.
There have also been tens of thousands of dead fish found in the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland (source), and a Kentucky woman reported finding dozens of dead birds in her yard. (see Dead birds fall from sky in central Sweden )
I'm throwing out the UFO idea. One site declared the birds ran into a "cloaked UFO" (source). That's a crackpot idea. UFOs have been around for thousands of years; by now birds should know how to avoid UFOs, even if they're cloaked. And birds are smarter than that. If the first ten birds in front of a flock fly into something, the remaining four thousand birds flying behind recognize the danger and niftily swoop out of harm's way.
But if God struck these birds dead with a lightning bolt. Or if Al Qaeda blew poisonous pixie dust into the air and let it blow over Arkansas. Then we have real problems, America. And now, Sweden, too. God, or Al Qaeda is judiciously choosing where to kill birds. And fish. Americans hope next God will go after mosquitoes; ten thousand mysteriously dead here, piles of one billion dead mosquitoes there. Plague away!
Sweden has declared the cause of the birds' deaths remains unknown.

Death drop has remained a mystery. In one incident, 5000 gulls killed from lead carbonate blowing while exported from Esperance Port. Humans also had toxic levels.
