Police are investigating the discovery of an unusual animal, at least for Sweden, found along side of a highway, according to the Associated Press. When early reports started coming into the police office, they at first believed it to be a prank. The reports stated that the carcass of a camel was seen next to the E22 highway near Karlskrona, which is in southeastern Sweden.
A police spokeswoman, Lars Lindwall, told the News agency TT, "But when the patrol got there it turned out be completely true."
The police surmised that the camel must have been transported on a trailer, but fell off and was dragged by the vehicle, judging by the injuries the animal sustained.
"When that was discovered they probably just dumped the body," Lindwall said.
The incident is being treated as a case of animal abuse by authorities, and the police are searching still for the owners of the camel, TT reported, according to the Associated Press.

A makeup artist and deli clerk drove up to a bank's drive-up depository, and upon reaching in discovered $20,000, according to the Associated Press.
Linda Hatch found the money, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and then calmly walked into the bank to turn the cash in to the teller. She admits her mind raced in the seconds after she discovered the two $10,000 bundles.
"Am I in the middle of a bank robbery ... a drug bust, is someone going to pick up the money?" Hatch said, according to the Associated Press. "I was like, 'Oh, my gosh. What do I do?'"
The bank teller that Hatch went to was just as confused as she was, Hatch reported.
"She looked at me like, 'What is this?'" Hatch said.
A police report was filed by Hatch in the days after she turned in the money. She has not been told whether the rightful owner's have come forth or not.She says that she was "shaken for five hours" after her huge discovery, yet has no regrets about turning in the money.
"It's not enough money to move to Mexico," she laughed, according to the Associated Press.

Post a CommentI want to say that I'd turn in the money, but there is so much I could use that money for!!! I'm a pretty honest person, though, and probably would have done the same thing. Great reporting.
Kudos to Hatch - good report
