Dead Cat Walking

Stephen Joltin
Oscar is a cat adoped by a hospice in Rhode Island as a kitten. Oscar has one unusual talent. He goes up to residents of the hospice 4 hours before they die and curls up next to them. His record is 25 for 25. He is much more accurate than even the Doctors and Nurses. Since this is a terminal care facility for people with Alzhimer's disease, they patients are unaware that the cat snuggled up next to them. The staff immediately call the next of kin to say their final good byes when Oscar cuddles up. To Oscar this little poem:

If Oscar the cat cuddles up in your bed
four hour later you're sure to be dead.

That cat just gives me the creeps. Don't want one like him around here! Nice little poem though! (Oh yeah, and once they locked him OUT of a room, and he sat outside the door and meowed and scratched at the door until the patient died - how creepy is THAT?)
