Dead Girls Can't Talk

What the Deaths of Two Florida Girls Can Teach Us

Regina Russell
Within the duration of two months, two Florida girls have died at the hands of a sexual predator, who lived nearby. One can only imgaine the horror that these girls went through in the last moments of their lives. Moments that no human being should ever have to go through. We, who have safe comfortable lives, need to become aware of our surroundings.

Do you know if there is a registered sex offender in your neighborhood? Is there legislation that facilitates the dissemination of this information to your doorstep? For example, do you receive a posting in your mail informaing you that one of your neighbors is a registered offender?

If not, I would highly encourage you to contact your local congressperson and ask this person to start legislation which would pass and make our kids safer.

In the meantime, be aware. And speak up when you know. Because dead girls can't talk, we do the talking for them.
