DEAD HOLLYWOOD BLONDES FILMS in NEW YORK

Well, despite the title, Dead Hollywood Blondes is strictly a New York City production and according to the production team from ENVY productions, the show went off with no hitches finishing the first stage of principal photography in late October.

According to video photographers Nicolas Cantor and Chis Flain "The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we got some terrific outside shots. We also shot a good deal at the Roy Arias Theater Studios who generously made one of their theaters available to us on short notice." The dailies are just terrific and we intend to do a few more days in December and then proceed to the editing room.

Most members of the original cast are featured in the film which deviates slightly from the original show.
They are Adam Kee, Erica Dyer, Aimee Byers, and dance mistress Renee Throttle, joined by new members Missi Adams, Dylan Steinberg, and Fabio Taliercio.

If all goes as intended, the musical play influenced by the fictitious lives of some very recognizable blonde bombshells will tour the festival circuit, and be available for download and distribution through Amazon.com in early 2010. Ironically, the film will most likely proceed the stage production. But hopefully, the two will complement each other. A fresh business model for the new media? This is perhaps a deliberate move to advance the rising tide of Internet based promotions. ( Or just a way to shoot two birds with one stone tying together film and stage productions.) In any case, we are delighted it all worked out and will be available to satisfy incurable musical theater fans who want to say they've seen the show before it even previews!
