Nothing has changed;
Always the same;
Day after day;
Work, home, sleep;
Don't know the time;
Or the day;
Walking in rote steps;
Thinking rote thoughts;
No place to go;
No one to see;
I open a large album;
Old photographs faded with time;
The bright smile of youth;
Unknowing of what the future would hold;
Peering into the wee hours of morning;
To a warm bed I hide;
Head beneath the covers;
Just want to sleep;
Dreamless, peaceful, bliss
