A video has been posted to Youtube this morning and has been played on national television. The video can be viewed here. It turns out that the person who took the video had just left the building for a jury summons. Wow!
As more information is given, I will post it.
There is situation is serious to me because I live just minutes away from Las Vegas. This incident occurred very close to where I would have to go to jury duty if I ever got picked and I have almost been picked on two occasions within the last couple of years. I am glad that I did not have to be anywhere near that area. If I ever do get picked for jury duty and have to go up to downtown Las Vegas, I will probably be quite nervous.
Las Vegas has had a lot of officer deaths within the last couple of years. As a matter of fact, four officers were killed in 2009 from car crashes and shootings. We are only four days into the New Year and one officer has already been killed. I have heard that crime rates in many areas of the country are going down, but it does not seem that is happening in Las Vegas. Every time I watch the news I hear something about someone being shot or killed. It really is quite depressing. I am happy that I do not live in the Las Vegas Valley and instead live in a small town outside the city. I have lived in bad areas of Las Vegas before and I will never go back. I must say that I am glad that the officers killed the suspect before anymore people could be hurt or killed.
