Deaf Singles Dating Website Review

A Place for the Hearing Impaired to Find Friendship and Much More.

Kessa Baylor
The difficulties of the hearing impaired does not have to be a hindrance in love. If you are a member of the deaf community and may have felt alone or isolated from family and friends come to a place where everyone understands your particular struggle. If love is what you're after you can visit a community of deaf men and women can meet one another in a fun environment on deafsinglesconnection.com. This site appears to be like most dating sites but the significance of this site is that most of their methods of communications are forgotten or taken for granted by the hearing. Basic members can view member profiles, send smiles, and e-cards to members they find attractive. They can read posts written on message boards and view the members that are currently online. This is a good way to decide if the person frequents the site enough to have good enough communication. The site doesn't list it's total number of members but let's you know the amount of people signed in at the present. Basic members can not send instant messages or chat unless service is upgraded. It is pretty similar too most dating sites in the features it offers. The only difference is that the members are deaf and know that about one another before hand. This site is unique in the way it gives it's members a sense of belonging. If you see someone who is attractive or not so hot you can vote on those members with or without a membership.

This site will not hurt your pocketbook. It is one of the cheapest dating sites I've run across so far and seems to be a good price to pay for uniqueness. Upgrading to a premium membership will cost you $19.99 per month, which is the most value if you're new to the online dating scene. A 3-month membership cost $39.99 which isn't bad if you need more time to get to know someone before you take a step farther and a 6-month membership is only $59.99 this price tag is a deal considering the long stretch of time you're paying for. It offers three payment options that include credit/debit, pay by mail, and paypal. All major credit cards are accepted including visa, MasterCard, American express, and Discover. If using a credit card the company will automatically bill the credit card of your choice every month but can be cancelled at anytime. That is where you will have to be careful. If you aren't receiving the desired amount of connections or dating options I suggest you cancel before your next billing statement. This site is a pretty good value however it doesn't offer anything extra for its members. There is nothing that stands out about the site other than the name.

I give this site a 3 rating on a scale of 1-5 mainly for its similarities to other sites. If it offered a new approach to the dating scene for the deaf crowd it would receive a higher rating. It can easily get lost in the crowd of familiar dating sites floating around the web and doesn't make the deaf crowd feel unique as they are by giving them something they can't get from any other online site. Because technically on the Internet we are all equal.
