Guess what? I know who you really are. You are everyone everywhere who carries the spirit of Christmas. So I have decided to share my wishes with you that I share with God. What many share with God.
Our world is such a mess. Let's set aside material things for a moment. How about for good? Let's start thinking about everything but ourselves. Seems we all are so short sided. It often takes a tragedy to make us all think and work together. Whether one in the family or one that affects our country. To make us unite but it is so short lived. We forget too soon. We take for granted how nice we have it and forget how safe we really are not anymore.
We find it so easy to be mean. We have so many rights that we use them to disturb the rights of others. We have freedoms that we do not realize just how free they are not. Everything is just so complicated when it seems it doesn't have to be.
I guess what I really wish is that our values were more important. Personal values and family values be more important. Prejudice be forgotten and there would be more peace within our own country. Within our own hearts. It just seems that many find it fun to hurt and tear down the confidence of others.
Why does this all seem like it should be so easy to fix but the hatred is more fun and much easier for many. We are all so different but we are all so alike.
I guess I am just wishing for what can never be because it seems so many really don't want that.
So Santa, do you really think Heaven will be better? Everyone will decide to unite and love each other? Why would we all suddenly change after death when life is more complicated. Or else, Heaven is not very full.
I am sorry to ramble on in my letter to you Santa. It's just what I think of all the time and what I really wish for. I realize it is just wishful thinking but wouldn't it be great if it wasn't? Wouldn't it be great if it was all truly possible?
Thank you Santa for listening and may you have a Merry Christmas. I think I work that day.
Love, Roni
