Death of Alaina Reed-Amini

The star known for her roles in Seasame Street and 227 has died. Her character was Olivia Robinson on Seasame Street. After her marriage to Tamim Amini in 2008, her last name changed from Hall from a former marriage to Reed-Amini. She has been battling breast cancer for two years and had lost it on Thursday.

She was at the St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica California. She is surivied by her family: Husband, Tamim Amini and her two children from her first marriage to her first husband. She was married to her co-star Kevin Peter Hall her second husband in 1988. Kevin had passed away from complications of AIDS from a blood transfusion back in 1991.

Some of her accomplishments as a star include Cruel Intentions and Death becomes Her. She was also a guest star on several television shows including ER, NYPD Blue, The Drew Carey show and Ally McBeal.

She was on the show, Seasame Street from 1976 to 1988 for a TV show called 227. The show, 227 only lasted 2 seasons and was ended in 1990.

Her family has decided that there will be no funeral however there will be a celebration sometime in 2010 of her life. The life that she had began in Springfield, Ohio. She was born on November 10, 1946 and her first movie was called Death becomes her in 1992 but her movie career was not as successful as her Television career and it obviously shows in the television shows that she had been in.

She began acting on Broadway and off-Broadway productions and was included as one of the original cast members of the off-Broadway production, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the Road. Not only did she act in that production, she also acted in Hair, Chicago and Eubie!

She has recently died so there might be more information later about her death if there's anything found but it seems fairly straightforward that she has indeed died of breast cancer.
