and destruction destroyed, now pale is paled.
This is death and love.
Teeth stained black:
A golden apple plucked from her Tree,
the supposed source of immortality,
bitten from then spewed,
it's flesh a dangerous hue.
A stain too deep to clean away,
it creeps from tooth to mortal clay.
A blackened figure from her hands was made
O body, o soul, a negative fade.
We loved, I stole her Fruit.
Paralyzed now like a grounded root
I smile hoping for help unseen
but the only thing unseen is me.
