Death Poem: Let Me Cry

C.J. Neal
Don't ask me not to cry,
Not just yet.
The pain is simply unbearable,
You are with me no more

Memories of you fill my thoughts
Your laugh,
Your song,
Your words of wisdom,
And the unconditional love you give

My heart is aching,
Yet I understand
You had to go,
The Master was calling.
Gone but never forgotten,
You will always be...

Worry not for all is well
With tears come memories
So painful yet so sweet.
Asking you to stay
Would be selfish and unfair.
I could never wish you pain
Not in a million years

For right now,
Please, let me cry.
As the sun rises each day
In time the hurt will fade
Those memories once so painful
Will ache my heart no more

Tupac was important and this makes me wonder what your relationship was like. Were you a fan? I think you have more to say, indeed =-)
