Death Sentence for Child Molesters
Legislators to Change Laws on Executions
In Virginia, accomplices to murder, and murdering certain officials such as judges, and crime witnesses could call for the death sentence.
In Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt declared he wants a death sentence imposed for the murder of police and other law enforcement officers. He said "this is the type of crime that calls for the death sentence," according to USA Today.
In Georgia, the death sentence can be issued by nine of the twelve jurors, and not all twelve if the law is to change as proposed.
The house passed a bill on Tuesday in Utah making the murder of a child under 14 a crime receiving execution. A bill has been introduced by Paul Ray in which it reads that the death sentence can be allowed for killing a child during abuse, sexual assault or kidnapping, without proof of intent to kill. Ray was also quoted as saying "We're going to send a message that if you kill our kids in Utah, we're going to kill you," "In Utah, I don't think we use the death sentence enough."
Currently there are approximately 3000 offenders on death row, with California, Texas and Florida leading the states. Thirty-eight states have the death penalty, and twelve issue life without parole instead.

Post a CommentIf offenders do not feel pitty for causing permanent brain damage, trauma, depression, eating disorders and other life threatening problems to our kids and ourselves, WHY SHOULD WE?
I think that having the death penalty for child molesters is more than just punishment or retribution. It is showing the world how very dear the victim is, that we would punish someone so greatly for hurting him/her.
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Let them feel the pain that their victims felt. No mercy, just old fashion justice.
I think things should go back to the old days where if you commite the crime the punishement should be done in public.let us stone them .its a shame what the world has come to.these are innocent children that these monsters are hurting and all they get is a little time in jail.the children suffer forever.i think if you hurt a child the childs parents should be able to have a part in the punishement.cut the thing off or sew her shut.they are doing this cause the system is toooo easy on them.
United States- use it for child molestors, murderers, and rapists! Let America vote! Why can't we vote on things like this? I don't understand. Justice Kennedy should step down; why doesn't he? I don't understand.
It's about time some states stood up and identified this epidemic and danger to our children. IMO lethal injection is even too humane for these animals. They should all be taken into a field and shot, bodies left for the vultures. If the governments wont protect our children from these predators then we as vigilant and concerned citizens must stand together. Use the databases to make them feel as unwelcome as possible in your community, shun them like the disease that they are and push them to the fringes of society and never give the chance to hurt another innocent child. Too many liberals care about "the accused" what about the family whose life is ruined and that child who has lost the very essence of being young? Americans must unite against this epidemic and eliminate these rotten pustules of existence from our collective lives. They are no better than a poisonous spider about to bit your child, how would you react?
In this case, I cannot deny that I am for the Death Penalty, even for first offense. There has to be evidence WAY beyond a reasonable doubt, though, and no "he-said-she-said" conjecture bullshit. Having said that, I agree with most of these other comments: If I catch anyone even so much as feeling up my neices or nephews in a sexual way, I promise y'all, the state won't even have to worry wbout administering the death penalty!
