Death Will Never Win

Edna Horton
Death knocked on my door today

I didn't let him in.

I turned my back and walked away,

I will never let him win.

Death will never get me,

I will be healthy.

I will not drink or smoke,

I will never let him win.

Death will try to get me,

With a speeding car.

I will dodge it without a scratch,

I will never let him win.

Death will try to show me,

How fragile life is,

By giving me a cancer,

I will fight it,

I will never let him win.

One day death will take me,

But not soon.

I will live my life first,

I will never let him win.
