This RPG game offers a lot in the way of a storyline. It has a really funny hero named DeathSpank who goes on all sorts of quests, and some of them are kind of ridiculous in themselves, adding to the appeal. The dialogue is humorous and the player gets to choose what answers they want to give in response to questions from other characters. There are also puzzles to solve and lots of things to kill.
DeathSpank is a hero that loves to destroy anything that gets in his path. Armed with four weapons at a time, one could say that he is a killing machine. His ultimate goal, as is the case with most heroes, is to beat the game's super-villain.
DeathSpank offers 3D graphics in addition to a whole world of exploration. There is also a co-op mode in which a second player can be DeathSpank's wizard sidekick. The co-op feature is not really a two-player mode, though, because of the fact that the wizard doesn't have any items of his own and he shares the same lifebar as DeathSpank.
DeathSpank is a very simple, but humorous RPG video game. When compared to more advanced RPG games on the market, there are some downsides to its simplicity. Regular gamers might have more gripes with the game than a casual gamer. DeathSpank doesn't seem like it was meant to be taken too seriously, so I don't think anyone should get too bent out of shape. It's a fun game of quests which a typical player will spend about only 10 hours maneuvering through.
