Debbie Rowe Set to Get Custody of Michael Jackson Kids

When Michael Jackson Died, it Left Debbie Rowe as Sole Custody Barer for Kids Paris and Michael Jr

Debbie Rowe is back in the picture again, as she is about to get custody of Michael Jackson's kids. Debbie Rowe is the woman who gave birth to Michael Jackson's some years back, and who has retained her custodial rights as a parent to Michael Jackson's kids. As a result of Michael Jackson's death, she becomes the sole barer of custodial rights to Michael Jackson's kids, and is now primed to take over the role of parent once again. It's not that huge of a twist in the whole story, but many had thought that Debbie Rowe would now be out of the picture when it came to Michael Jackson's kids.

Debbie Rowe is the birth mother of Michael Jackson's kids, and had originally gone to court for a custody fight that took place back in 2005. At first Rowe had given up her custodial rights to the kids, but a Judge ended up ruling that she would not have her rights terminated, and has instead remained a silent custodial barer over the last four years. Under state law, a parental fitness investigation would have had to be conducted before Debbie Rowe could give up custody, and because that never happened, Rowe didn't lose any of her custodial rights to the children.

It wasn't publicized that Debbie Rowe had never lost her custodial rights, so it is surprising a number of people in the media that she is now in line to assume custody of Michael Jackson's children. She can of course turn down the opportunity to take them on, but it is expected that she will definitely assume full custody and care for Michael Jackson's kids. One of the reasons that is leading people to assume this course of action is that she would then be getting a hefty child support payment from the Michael Jackson estate to care for the children.

There has been no official announcement as to whether or not Debbie Rowe will assume custody of Michael Jackson's kids at this time, but it can be assumed that this is going to be on the horizon. There are a lot of other things to be dealt with right now, and there are surely a lot of lawyers working behind the scenes to figure out how to do this within the family in one manner or another. There has also been no comment from Michael Jackson's direct family in relation to the custody, but hopefully this doesn't turn into a big court case where the kids are dragged through proceedings like casino chips. This seems like a really clear-cut decision, and that because Debbie Rowe is the mother of the kids, and has retained custodial rights, that she would be the easiest choice.

This so called mother has NO right to those children. Those kids do not know her as their mother, nor has she seemed particularly interested in getting to know them until now - when it's discovered she doesn't get a piece of the MJ pie otherwise.
Only two words describe this woman - gold digger.
Reportedly she is also going to go for Blanket who she has no genetic claim on.
So essentially this woman is going to rip those kids from their loving caring home with the Jacksons, and force them to adjust to living with her, on top of losing their father, and AFTER they've lived a life that is anything but normal.

It disturbs me that she gave these children to MJ to begin with, and I'd rather see them raised in a normal family. Even one of MJ's married brothers would probably be better guardians, at least the kids know them.

What about the third child? He was bron via a surrogate. Would Rowe get custody of him too?

anyone who would give up their right as a parent for a "fat check" does not deserve children. They SHOULD NOT go to her!!!

  • Susan 6/26/2009

Any mother who accepts a check in lieu of her children has given up any moral right to them, regardless of her legal rights. The kids do not even know her and the youngest is not hers and anyone who thinks this cow would raise them normally is living in a dream world. Why would they take the kids from the only family they know? And Weber, anyone with your low IQ needs to just be quiet.

Thats foolish. Any biological mother who would enter into a contractual arrangement to accept money in lieu of being with her children is not the appropriate person to raise these children. It would seem likley the hefty child support payment would be the perk for her.

    As it should be...

Interesting...I knew that Debbie Rowe had reportedly given up all parental rights, but this actually relieves my heart somewhat. It makes me believe these children have a chance to be brought up as normal kids, away from the publicity and spotlight.
