There have been several studies saying that the end of the world might soon really come to an end. There's even an exact date given - December 21, 2012. According to the Mayans, this date marks the end of their calendar. Some saythe apocalypse will be brought about by the alignment of the planets which will weaken the earth's magnetic field. This is somehow similar with forecast of Nostradamus (who also predicted about the rule of Hitler and the fall of the Twin Towers) which says that the earth magnetic field will weaken due to the alignment of the earth, the sun and the center of the Universe (Black Rift). The Bible on the other hand, did not mention an exact date but the signs were given, some of which seem to manifest already.
If any of these are true, then I guess we only have more or less three years to enjoy life on Earth. What's even worse is that thinking about much generates fears among us. People tend to be come too much worried about the future. Like in my case, I start to ask questions like how will I enjoy the fruits of my laborious school years if a year after we graduate this will all be over? However, as days passed by, I realized something. Well there is that possibility we must admit because scenarios like global warming, terrorism and extreme calamities might be the signs, but then these are just predictions. There's no certainty that it will take place. What if we are just reacting too much? Will it not be much better if we stop worrying too much about the future and instead do something about the present?
The only thing we have control of right now is the present. By living in the future we might already be missing something about the present.
