HANG LIGHTS AND METALLIC GARLAND: Hang lights and metallic garland around the edge of your desk. If you have a cubicle you could hang the lights and garland around the top edge of the cubicle. You could either hang it tight or, hang it loose, swooping down every two feet or so. If you hang it loose, you could have the lights display in different sequences; however, be careful of this if co-workers can see them. They may complain.
HANG GREENERY, HOLLY, AND BERRIES: Instead of lights and garland, you could hang pine garland with holly and berries stuck in it. This would be a more traditional look and may not be as distracting as the Christmas lights.
HANG STOCKINGS FOR CO-WORKERS: Hang a stocking for everyone in your office from the front of your desk. You could also go around the top of your cubicle and hang stockings from it. This is a nice way to show your co-workers that you are thinking of them during the holiday season. Hang these under your garland and lights if you wish.
SET A CHRISTMAS FLOWER ARRANGEMENT ON YOUR DESK: Set a beautiful flower arrangement or centerpiece that you have made on your desk for display. This adds a nice, festive touch to any workspace during the holidays.
PLAY CHRISTMAS MUSIC: Play some holiday music to add to the cheer. You could use a radio or your computer to find a radio station. This type of music always helps set the mood for Christmas and makes everyone feel more cheerful and giving. You could even bring in one of your favorite Christmas albums to listen to. Just don't listen to it over and over again, this can become annoying to co-workers.
Have fun decorating your desk and cubicle area and make it beautiful. This will get you and others around you in the holiday spirit.
