Picking out paint is quite a task. You can choose dark pink, light pink or a combination of both. You can buy molding which will separate the room in half and paint each half a different color. One color combination that is really cute is pink and purple as well as lime green and pink or purple. Another good color combination is white and pink which means you won't have to paint the top half or the ceiling of the room. You will probably spend somewhere around $20 on paint depending on what you go with and how much of the room you paint. Avoid painting the ceiling. You will need to purchase blue painters tape which will cost about $5 per roll.
Once the paint has dried you can go to the craft store and pick up some decor you would like to paint for the room. You can purchase little benches, little stools, picture frames and all different types of crafts. You can purchase paint and paint them yourself. This is one of the cheapest ways to decorate a babies room yet it also fun and you can say that you made it yourself as well. You can also purchase letters from the craft store to spell out your babies name. You can paint all the letters a different color and hang them up on the wall.
The paint, crafts and accessories will not cost you more than $100. You can save a lot of money decorating your babies room this way. If you need to purchase a changing table or a crib I would suggest searching around online to get a good price. They make round cribs now which are fairly new and adorable. You can purchase all of the bedding to go along with the crib as well but it's more costly than your average crib. You will probably spend around $200 for a crib, unless you purchase one from eBay and then you will save around $100 or so.
To save some money you can purchase a changing table that is also a dresser. This way you wont need to purchase these two items sepaately. If you cannot find one in the store you can look on eBay for a changing table/dresser. You will save at least $100 or more just by purchasing a changing table/dresser combo.
