Decorating your bathroom with contemporary style would be one of the most enrichment experiences you ever had. I witnessed friends who achieved that dream not so long ago. When turning to me for advices, before providing them with any tips, I asked them about their budget, looked at the size of their rooms, and considered their tastes. Fortunately, all of them, with one exception were able to turn their traditional bathroom into a contemporary style one. I do not know for sure the cost of the renovation, but I guest it was substantial.

Homeowners or investors who decide to decorate their bathrooms with contemporary style must consider the following pieces of advice:

1. Choosing a theme for your accessories

It will be a waste of time, energy, and money if you decide to purchase your accessories separately. In so doing, you will never get the job done to your satisfaction. Therefore, you must think on a theme in order to have them fall into the same quality and style.

2. Shopping for contemporary bathroom vanities

You will need contemporary style for your bathroom vanities. You should go shopping at the right store in order to have your vanities need covered. Choosing from the following may help you improve the look of your bathroom: white, pearl white, ebony, cinnamon, gloss biscuit, espresso, distressed, satin, whitewash, or ornate. Be clear about your bathroom's size, style, configuration, and finishes. You can install glass top vanities, double bowl vanities, or furniture and cabinet style vanities. It could be single sink, double sink, or corner vanities.

3. Using bold and confident complementary color scheme

I would suggest neutral or primary-plus-white color schemes to decorate your bathroom with contemporary style. I know that many will use the color of the tiles for everything in the bathroom. Others prefer brown, cream, taupe, or pure white.

4. Making the bathroom stylish with contemporary fixtures and their fittings

All the fixtures must be contemporary style. Here, we are talking about pedestal and wall-hung sinks, lavatory sinks, bathtubs, whirlpool tubs, showers, toilet, or bidet if necessary. The fittings should be in the same style. They include pop-up drains, mixing valves for the showers, hand sprays, trip levers for toilets, etc.

5. Using your imagination to achieve a contemporary bathroom style

To achieve a contemporary bathroom style you must consider mixing wood with stone, using light fixtures with contemporary shades, and selecting appropriate tiles. Also, the sculptural fixtures, the wallpaper, and the mirrors must be in the same style. You must remember that your contemporary bathroom should be clean, sleek, and straight line bathroom.
