The Theme
Who doesn't like princesses? So you can ALWAYS count on a princess-themed to make your baby girl happy and feeling like a princess herself! The theme can be lots of different Disney princesses if you like, or you could make it unique by choosing one princess like Cinderella, Snow White, or any other princess.
The Walls
The walls are a very important part of the bedroom! First, make it colorful with red, pink, and/or white paint. Or if you want a paler theme, try pale pink and lavender. Then you could buy the Pink Disney® Princess Wall Art for $9.99 from Target or this Multi Disney® Princess Rub-On Wall Art for $12.99 also from Target and put them on the walls. Another good idea is to paint on some quotes from the princess movies or buy some stickers that has quotes like the one shown here for only $2.99. You'll find plenty of Disney princess-themed stickers and wall art from your local Wal-Mart, Target, or craft stores also. You can always count on posters, too. (Here are some really cute ones)
The Furniture
This is another important part of the room. You don't want to make the bedroom look too messy with tons of pictures so choose some solid colored furniture (bright/pale pink, white, and blue works really well) and then just put on some small Disney princess stickers. You can get cheap white desks and cribs and then hand-paint them with your baby's name as a princess on them! (For example, if her name is Annie, it would be Princess Annie.)
I really like this kind of cubical shelf from Target (you can get them in stores too), you can use them to store toys for you baby. There are different colors of fabric cubes like this one here which you can buy to put in the cubical shelf and brighten up the room. They act like drawers and you can store clothes in them.
Decorations
For decoration, consider painting the switchplate pink or red, getting some princess pillows and sheets, getting a white carpet, painting a picture of a Disney princess on the door, and getting a colored nightlight for your baby girl. There are a lot other things that you could do to make your little girl's bedroom princessy and colorful, so don't forget to let your artistic side go wild and add your unique touch to the room!
Good luck, and I hope you will have so much fun decorating the bedroom for your baby girl! (Like I did!)
P.S.: This picture shows a really nicely decorated princess-themed bedroom for a little girl.
