Christmas Tree-
This decoration does not apply to everyone, but if you celebrate Christmas, your house should contain a Christmas tree. Families coming together and decorating a Christmas tree is a very popular tradition, which should continue to be done. It should be decorated with several colorful lights and ornaments, and often an angel or a star is put upon the top of the tree. A Christmas tree in the house is the number one most essential piece that every person, those who celebrate Christmas, should have in their house.
Holiday Lights-
Holiday lights can be used to make beautiful and fantastic displays, if done correctly. Lights should be hung along the gutter or along the roof of the house. If done properly, the lights will result in a display that people and neighbors would want and enjoy looking at during the holiday season. I do not believe that thousands of lights, inflatable snowmen, life-size Santas, and animated elves decorating a front yard will result in a very attractive display. In my opinion, a home that contains thousands of lights that are bright enough to see from Mars is not a very attractive display. Keep this mind, if sunglasses are requires to view your display, then you are using way too many lights.
Wreaths-
A wreath is and has been a main staple of the holiday season. I know that many people enjoy seeing a wreath hanging on the front door or garage of their neighbors and local businesses. In my opinion this is a very classy, yet fun piece of decoration that anybody can use to decorate his or her house. An average size wreath is what someone should use to decorate his or her house, just do not go overboard and hang a 10 foot wreath from the top of the house so that people from the neighboring city can see it from their house.
These three decorations that I have listed are the essential pieces that make up a beautiful and stunning holiday display. Decorating your house with a Christmas tree, holiday lights, and a wreath will show your neighbors and friends that you have the right amount of holiday spirit. Keep in mind these tips when decorating your house for the holidays. Homes will be decorated during the holiday season, but not excessively, if these helpful hints are followed.
