Jeanne Marie Kerns
Are you looking to have a Hawaiian-themed New Year's Eve party and are stuck at exactly what to do or how to decorate? Look no further; here are some great ideas to start your party with a bang.

When throwing any kind of theme party, the first thing you need to do is get those invitations out. You do not want to wait until the last minute to invite people to a party you are putting a lot of effort into. There are many places you can buy themed invitations at like party stores, or even at your local Walgreens, or even at Wal-mart, however those invitations have to be written out and that takes a lot of time. The best way to get the invitations out quick is to go online and fill and print them out. Some of the best websites to find Hawaiian themed invitations are www.hawaiianluauparty.com, and www.myexpression.com, these two website are sure to lend you a hand with ease.Be sure when filling out the invitations to specify the dress attire, which should be Hawaiian shirts with jeans or skirts.

Next you need to get prepared to set your home or the place your going to have the party at. This is such a fun party theme to go with and there are so many different ways you can decorate. Let's start with fake palm trees in every corner of the area where the party will be held, set up tables with Hawaiian themed tablecloths such as flowers or tropical fish. Next buy some fish nets and hang them from the ceiling with some fake crabs, shells and birds all entwined inside the net. Buy colorful plates, bowls, cups, and utensils and spread around table for more color. Buy some fake colorful flowers and place on anything you see that is empty. This will give the beautiful effect of the Hawaiian Islands. Last you need to get some fake Hawaiian leis to give to each one of your guests to wear as they walk in.

Next you have to get the music ready for your Hawaiian themed New Year's Eve party.Since your going with the whole Hawaiian theme, the only way to go with music is to have some traditional Hawaiian music. You can add some of your own music in between songs, just be sure you keep playing the Hawaiian music. If your not quite sure what kind of music to buy, you can check out Hawaiian Paradise Music where you can find everything from traditional to the now.

If your planning on having any activities, one of the most important activities to have is a hula dancing contest and a limbo contest. This will make people at ease and get them into the holiday spirit.

Last but not least we have the food and drinks for your Hawaiian themed New Year's Eve party. When you think of Hawaii and food, the first thing to come to mind is fresh, colorful fruits. Buy an array of different melons, strawberries, peaches, kiwi's, and any other fruits that are available. Buy different color plastic serving trays and cut up the fruit into finger sized pieces. Make or order some Hawaiian style pizza and cut into small pieces, also buy a few meat and cheese platters. Be sure to fill a few punch bowls with fruit punch and ice to set in the middle of the table. Always ask guests to bring their own bottle if they intend to drink.

Last, have a great time and enjoy your Hawaiian themed New Year's Eve party.

Nice ideas, love the idea of a temporary escape to a tropical paradise especially as I look at icicles outside my window. Brrrr...does Hawaii sound attractive right now!

Hawaiian pizza is ham/pineapple for those that wondered. Hey, you forgot to mention grass skirts & coconut bras for the guests.

Oh, I just presumed that the casino party was going to be your event. This sounds like fun too.
