A typical teenager will spend the majority of their time in their room. Classic and classy

If your teen's room is already white, this will be very easy. Paint the walls white and do a black trim on the top and bottom of the walls. You can also add black to the bedroom and closet doors if the style of door allows that. Find a black and white comforter for the bed. If there are other accessories such as a dresser, a chair, or couch, make sure they are all the same color. Black is a great choice for the accessories, but you can also choose a brighter color, such as red. Stripes

Stripes seems to be a very popular theme among the teenage girls. This can be very easy depending on what your teen is looking for. You can do stripes all along the walls, vertical stripes seem to look better but horizontal stripes are fine too. This theme has certainly made a come back. The best thing about this theme, is that just about any color works. The accessories are really most important with this theme. Retro lamps and retro chairs are very easy to find and can be purchased at most furniture stores as well as vintage shops. The bedding should also be very easy to find and will most likely be made up of a pattern or squares or circles. Again, the great thing about this theme is that there are many color options, so there is definitely something to please everyone.

Tropical or Surfer

Another very popular theme is the beach theme. For the walls, a light blue is best. You can split the walls in two and paint the top light blue and the bottom a sand color. Considering that this is a very popular theme, the bedding should not be hard to find, it will most likely have the hibiscus flowers or "Hawaiian" flowers on it. Depending on how many flowers are on the comforter, be careful with the other accessories, make sure it does not get too busy. You can even make yourself a surfboard to use as an accessory to give the room a more authentic look.
