Decorating a Kitchen with Thanksgiving Decorations

Bernadette
Thanksgiving is a festive time of the year. Decorating a kitchen with Thanksgiving decorations is relatively simple. Hopefully the ideas given in this article will help you as you decorate your kitchen for Thanksgiving.

1. Kitchen Linens
Kitchen linens are a good way to decorate the kitchen for Thanksgiving. One of the many kitchen linens that can give a kitchen the Thanksgiving look and feel is a fabric tablecloth. Dishtowels are another kitchen linen that can brighten a kitchen during the Thanksgiving season.

With at least two fabric tablecloths for the kitchen table, the table will always look festive. When the fabric tablecloth needs washing, simply place the other tablecloth on the kitchen table.

You might choose a fabric tablecloth or dishtowels with a Thanksgiving design, such as pumpkins, turkeys, autumn leaves, etc. If you prefer, you might choose from the variety of solid fall colors, which include orange or brown for your tablecloth or dishtowels.

2. Canister Set
A canister set is a nice decorative way to bring the Thanksgiving holiday into a kitchen. Canister sets in yellow or red or one of the many other fall colors, will brighten up a kitchen. Among the places where you might choose to display the canister set include a kitchen counter or kitchen island.

3. Thanksgiving Themed Tabletop Centerpiece
A centerpiece with a Thanksgiving theme would be festive and look pretty on a kitchen table. There are many choices for a tabletop centerpiece. When we were growing up, one centerpiece that my mother liked to put on the kitchen table during the Thanksgiving holiday was a cornucopia.

Another festive tabletop centerpiece for Thanksgiving could be a leaf shaped bowl or dish in one of the assorted autumn colors, which include orange or brown.

A Thanksgiving figurine such as a pilgrim, a pumpkin, or a turkey would also make a cheerful Thanksgiving centerpiece for a kitchen table.

Many stores, including online stores sell a wide assortment of Thanksgiving decorations, which are appropriate for use as a tabletop centerpiece.

4. Mugs
A set of mugs, decorated in a Thanksgiving design or perhaps in one of the many fall colors, including yellow or red would look festive displayed in a kitchen. You might want to buy a matching set of mugs or perhaps you might like to mix and match various mugs, the choice is yours.

5. Real Pumpkins
Small or even miniature pumpkins are nice Thanksgiving decorations for a kitchen. We like to keep a small pumpkin on the kitchen island during the Thanksgiving holiday. The beautiful orange color of a pumpkin makes our kitchen look bright and cheerful at Thanksgiving.

Hope that you were able to get some ideas on how to decorate your kitchen for Thanksgiving.

Good ideas. My sister has Thanksgiving at her house, but I will keep these in mind. I love decorating for all occasions.
