32% of weddings this year will take place during fall; if yours is one of them, take note of the following ideas to decorate your wedding cohesively with this stunning season.

The cool breeze and the falling of colorful leaves might be some the reasons fall weddings are likely to take place outdoors. Whether on a farm or vineyard, an outdoor setting can be beautifully decorated with rustic homespun details. Use shafts of wheat or bunches of grapes as aisle markers or take your vows underneath a pergola covered with grape vines.

One of the first choices you might make is selecting you wedding color scheme. Rich jewel tones in Purple, Poppy, and American Beauty Red are prominent colors for the season, When choosing your wedding color palette, choose one of these -like colors paired with a more neutral hue like Honey Yellow, Topaz, or Onyx.

Now you're ready to select flowers incorporating the colors ideal for this fall season. Dahlias, antique hydrangeas and calla lilies are the perfect blossoms since they reflect all the autumnal shades as well as those popular tones in greens, purples, and deep crimson. Roses can always be mixed in since they are available in any color necessary. Create a combination of interesting textures. Don't just use two or three types of blooms, mix a variety of flowers creating a vibrant color scheme.

When decorating the reception it's crucial to set the mood with the proper lighting. Hang vintage or modern chandeliers in different sizes and use thick pillar candles in rich hues like Pomegranate and Amber for centerpieces. Try mismatched vintage vases or antique frames for centerpiece ideas as well. These can add a flair of quirkiness and act as favors that your guests can take home at the end of the evening.

Other ideas for favors are fall inspired and reflective of the season's delicious fruits and crops. If you decide on a shade of red as a wedding color, like Crimson or Merlot, caramel apples or packets of apple cider mix are perfect for reception favors. Other yummy gifts can be mini maple syrup bottles, pumpkin spice soaps, or soy candles in shades of burnt orange, yellow, or brown.

Try a new twist to traditional table setting by using black glass or onyx crystal. It will add a dramatic elegance in tune with the season. Gingham, checkered, polka-dotted, paisley, damask... there's endless possibilities when it comes to fall linens. It's also all about texture in visually intriguing materials like quilted or ruched silk, linen, and velvet. For a country vintage feel, mix patterns and textures with no reservations. And because the cake is just as much part of the decoration as any other detail, let the fall colors transcend into the biggest centerpiece of all. An ivory colored, pumpkin or spice cake, covered in burnt orange, brown, yellow, and red sugar maple leaves completes your look for a whimsical fall wedding.
