Decorative Birdcages Are Trendy and Popular Interior Accents
Choose a Metal Art Birdcage in Rustic Metal, Shabby Chic or Cottage Chic Style
Birdcages are a form of Metal Art
Birdcages are a form of metal art which are available in rustic metal, shabby chic and even cottage vintage chic available at so many hobby & craft shops, home decorating shops, antique shops and online. Each one brings a special feel and appeal with its particular shape, form, art work, metal and color.
Once you find a particular birdcage that speaks to your aesthetic sense and would make a perfect accent piece in your home you may wish to add a bird, plant, nest or other interesting items to complete the accent piece.
A Seasonal Accent for the Entire Year
By choosing a bird that fits well in size and color with the birdcage and a nest to fit inside seasonal accents may be added and changed to make it a viable interior decoration throughout the year. The birdcage and bird will help you choose decorative items to accessorize the accent through spring, summer, fall and winter. Few items will be needed to add to the cage, bird and nest to add seasonal color, interest and to create a focal point and true conversation piece.
Items needed to assemble this decorative accent are a decorative metal birdcage, a wired or clip on bird, a crafted bird nest, and craft flowers or plants, floral craft picks or natural items such as stones, rocks, twigs, dried flowers or grasses, and perhaps eggs, butterflies or other crafted decorative items. A small box will hold items for the seasons which can then be easily switched to keep the decorative accent birdcage current seasonally. The small box can be tucked away in a nearby closet or drawer for use.
There are birdcages which would fit nicely into a kitchen, bath, living area or sunroom. These decorative metal art pieces are available in many sizes from a small cage which could sit on a table or mantle to a medium sized cage which may hang from a chain to a large floor cage with legs. Prices are just as variable and may be determined by the shop where you purchase your cage or the popularity of the style of the cage. Antique shops and flea markets are great places to find all three types of birdcages mentioned; rustic metal, shabby chic and cottage vintage chic. Finding a birdcage at a shop or market may spur you on to shop for a bird and accessories.
