Decorators Warehouse has been in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex since 1989. This is not actually a warehouse as it says. It is a large store in a strip mall. As soon as you walk through the front entrance, there is a very cute cottage all decorated with Christmas attire. There are two gigantic nutcrackers on either side of the porch and one is proudly holding his sword and the other one is holding a trumpet. There are red and green garlands flowing across the top of the roof and on both sides of the porch rails and a bright and shimmering red and green wreath dangling from the front door.
The entire store is brightly lit with Christmas lights on every tree you see. There are seventy five styles of Christmas trees to choose from. You an also special order Christmas Wreaths, garlands and other Christmas decorating arrangements for your home. The store has over one thousand styles of Christmas ornaments; one hundred fifty types of Christmas ribbons; there are beautiful wreaths, garland of all sizes, shapes and colors; Christmas lights galore; Christmas statues such as reindeer, Santa and his reindeer and much more to choose from to adorn your yard during the Christmas holiday.
Throughout the store there is over twenty designer themed trees that will give you great decorating ideas for your own Christmas Tree. The one room I especially liked really well was the candy cane theme. The Christmas Tree had bright red and white candy canes all over it and all of the ornaments and Christmas Balls were candy cane striped. It is really pretty. There was also a table that had candy cane striped dolls sitting on it and candy cane striped wreaths and garlands.
The brochure I read about Decorators Warehouse was what prompted me to being with to even go to this place because I thought that I was going to be seeing an amazing gigantic warehouse that was stuffed full of Christmas Trees, lights, garland, wreaths, ornaments and everything else to do with Christmas, but what I saw as soon as I walked in did not impress me at all. Yes there are Christmas decorations here but most of the Christmas Trees that are decorated have too many decorations on them and this takes away the beauty of the tree. There were just a few decorated trees that were pretty and not over-decorated. The prices are way, way steep. Who in their right mind would pay $379.00 for a over-sized plastic reindeer to display in your yard or $479.00 for Santa and one of his reindeer sitting in a sack? Most of the Christmas Trees started at around $400.00. There was one Christmas Tree decked out with boughs of holly, lights, balls and the whole nine yards and it was priced at $1199.00.
Decorators Warehouse is open Mondays-Fridays 10-8; Saturdays 9-6 and Sundays noon-6.
I was not impressed at all with Decorators Warehouse only because I was expecting a much bigger store and the prices are outrageous. I give Decorators Warehouse 2 stars.

Post a Commentgreat review, thanks for the heads up
What a bummer that it's not that swift and the prices are outrageous. :-( Fine review, though.
Sounds like a fun place to go for Christmas decorating ideas and supplies!
This sounds great..but I don't think I have heard of one being around here. Thanks!

This is a great review, but at this point in our lives, we cannot cram one more freakin' Christmas decoration in that closet under the stairs!
Very good store review.
