I am a fan of musicals. When I was searching for my favorite movie, "The Sound Of Music", I tried various online stores, and various shopping malls until I came across www.deepdiscountdvd.com.
THE WEBSITE
When you enter the site www.deepdiscountdvd.com, one of the first things you will notice is the shark logo. The first time I saw the shark swimming across the screen I found this to be very amusing while navigating around. You will notice that Deep Discount DVD offers free shipping and handling, as long as your order is not sent internationally. In addition, I have found that www.deepdiscountdvd.com does not charge any sales tax for shipments.
The search provided me with the 40th anniversary widescreen version with a price of $16.79 along with free shipping and handling. Of course, I had to set up an account online using my personal information (name, address, etc.). This comes in handy when you log onto the system to place your order in the future. I also receive emails from www.deepdiscountdvd.com when there are special sales.
Just a note, if I was able to find a price that was lower at another online store (meaning the price equals the selling price plus shipping and handling), then www.deepdiscountdvd.com would match it. Personally, I have not yet tried that feature as I was unable the DVD at a lower price elsewhere. However, I know that I have options in case I am shopping for other DVD movies. In order to have www.deepdiscountdvd.com match the price, you would need to send an email to cs@deepdiscountdvd.com with the subject line of PRICE MATCH.
Best of all, there was no shipping and handling costs for my order (along with no sales tax) to be sent by the U.S. Postal Service. If I wanted a faster shipping method (UPS Next Day Air or Second Day Air), I could have chosen one of these options for an additional charge. I found the checkout process to be very easy.
AFTER THE ORDER
I received two emails from www.deepdiscountdvd.com. The first email confirmed my purchase. The second email was sent when the DVD was shipped. The two emails were received within a day of each other. I received the DVD within one week (taking into account that there was a weekend) using the U.S. Postal Service. The packaging was sturdy and included a receipt along with the DVD, which was factory sealed.
OVERALL
I would recommend www.deepdiscountdvd.com to anyone searching for a good deal on DVD's.
