Deep Discounts at Christmas Tree Shops

SaraSue
For incredible bargains it's hard to beat "Christmas Tree Shops" stores. Being Jewish I never ventured into the Christmas Tree Shops store in my neighborhood since I thought it was indeed a Christmas tree store. Then my daughter's friend told her how "amazing" the store was and that it was actually a bargain store that "sold tons of fun stuff "(her words). So of course we had to check it out, and no, they have nothing to do with Christmas. I think the Christmas Tree idea is that you get great gifts in the form of bargain prices, but don't quote me. Whatever the name means, Christmas Tree Shops stores sell "some" Xmas items but not more than anything else they sell. In fact, there is no rhyme or reason to what they sell which makes it more exciting for shoppers. It seems like they sell whatever they can buy cheap and pass it on to the customers. Christmas Tree Shops stores are located in states along the East Coast as well as Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Check out their web site for store locations and hours at http://www.christmastreeshops.com .

What you can buy at Christmas Tree Shops

For an example of the wide range of bargain products at Christmas Tree Shops, the following is what I came home with last week. A pack of eggnog tea(never saw that anywhere else), lots of other teas, coffee, various snack items, an egg shaped clock(similar to the high priced clock from Brookstone) , big picture frames-the type for several pictures together, clear plastic stand alone frames-all sizes, plastic cups, plastic tableware, paper plates, fake Tupperware, art supplies, spices, towels, dog toy, electronic make a decision device(funny, for those who can't make decisions-yes I am an impulsive shopper)), Hanukah items, ceramic bowls, socks, antibacterial soap, and I can't remember the rest. All I know is that I spent very little and came home with a lot of bags.

Love to Shop For Bargains?

You can spend a lot of time enjoying shopping and browsing at Christmas Tree Shops stores. It's also a lot of fun for kids and for a few dollars you can buy them a little something . If you're looking for small kitchen appliances and kitchenware you can find them at Christmas Tree Shops. I was tempted to buy a Back to Basics smoothie maker for 19.99-an incredible deal, but I have a smoothie maker so I told my friends about it. There are coffee makers, toaster ovens, electric can openers, dish sets, glassware, pots, all kinds of plastic ware. None of these items looked junky at all so if I needed a toaster oven I would buy it there. The only real junky stuff was some shoes and boots, they looked like they wouldn't last a week. The linens looked nice, but they were very limited in designs which is what you would expect from such deep discounts. I saw nice cheap fluffy pillows that looked at least as well made as a cheap Ikea pillow. Browse around and you'll find a lot more home items.

Crafty?

There's a whole section of home craft items, they even had a wooden bridge and wheel barrow which I assume is for decorating a lawn. There were all kinds of fabricated branches, flowers and wreaths for crafting. In fact, for crafting go to a Christmas Tree Shops store before you spend all your money at Michael's or other craft stores.

Save $$$ At Christmas Tree Shops

Christmas Tree Shops stores are a boon to those who need to count every dollar, and who isn't counting these dollars these days?If you're bargain hunting try them out, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I never heard of this store before this article. It sounds like the Dollar Tree where I live. I love these stores. Now I have new store to check out. Thanks!

This sounds like the 99cents stores in LA or Odd Lots - LOVED those stores when I was in the US as, like you said, you come home with BAGS of stuff for hardly any money :-) Interesting article.
