Deer Hunting: What is the Best Time of Day to Hunt?
Deer Travel the Woods Day and Night but Knowing the Pattern of Deer and Hunters Gives You an Advantage to Kill a Monster Buck.
Why the hunter? Most hunters enter the woods before daybreak to get setup and wait for deer to walk by giving them the ultimate shot. By midday, hunters get hungry and leave the woods for lunch. This gives you the opportunity to kill a deer.
What Is the Best Time Of Day to Hunt?
The best time of day to hunt is midday when other hunters are leaving the woods for lunch. The reasoning behind that statement is when there is movement in the woods by hunters the deer will move. With any luck, deer will run right to your stand. It is best to enter the woods at the same time other hunters do, but do not leave for lunch, stay in your stand.
While other hunters are eating, you will be shooting that trophy buck to brag about to the others who decided to eat lunch instead of hunt. Staying behind during lunchtime gives you the advantage over other hunters.
Another great time to hunt is before hunters enter the woods in the early morning. Be in your stand at least 30 to 45 minutes before other hunters. While they are walking to their stand, they may just send a deer running right to you. It would be great to be ready and waiting when the biggest buck you ever seen comes through the area. It would also allow you time to kill another deer around lunchtime.
