Through the history of music there has been many titles and crowns given out. There is Michael Jackson: the King of Pop, Bobby Brown: the King of R&B, Lil Jon: King of Crunk, several self-proclaimed King of Rap: Jay-z, T.I, and so on....but the title of "King of Music" has not been given out, up until this point.

There is a new ruler in the music industry and he is Def Jam's new artist, The Dream. Personally signed by the great LA Reid, from just hearing his voice on demos, the writer of Rihanna's hit #1 "Umbrella" has several other smashes set to be released on artists of all kinds of music. The Dream's talent for song writing is not limited to only R&B but ranges to Pop, Rap and Rock and Roll. Working on such artists as: Mary J. Blige, Usher, Nicole (from the PCDs), Chris Brown, Lucy Walsh, Karina, Puddle of Mud, American Idol winners and several others, The King of Music intends to have no mercy on the industry!

Especially now that The Dream is an artist, he is preparing to take the music WORLD by storm! In addition to writing for everyone possible, he has managed to almost complete a whole album in a month's time span! Along with the help of mega producers Tricky Stewart and Jazze Pha, and new up and coming producer, Carlos Mckinney, he has wrote and co-produced an album that will truly make a huge impact on music. With a sound that would be described as Prince meets R.Kelly at a T-Pain concert in ATL, The Dream will be a favorite amongst all. His first single, "Shawty is a Ten" is just now starting to hit the airwaves. The video is scheduled to be shot on the 8th and 9th of July in The Dream's native city Atlanta.

TERIUS NASH
Terius Youngdell Nash, also know as "The Dream", was born in Rockingham, North Carolina. At the age of two he moved, with his mother Reva Nash, to Atlanta, Georgia, where she raised him until her untimely death at the age of thirty-five. Afterwards, he was taken in by his grandfather, who was an avid music fan. It was through this relationship that he was introduced to many of the great legendary artists that made up his grandfather's record collection. As soon as he heard the sweet soulful sounds of Sam Cooke and Al Green, "The Dream" was hooked. In the third grade he enrolled in beginning trumpet classes at Grove Park Elementary School. He continued playing the trumpet through high school and later added to his musical repertoire by learning to play the drums and guitar.

In junior high and high school his musical influences broadened to include artists such as Timberland, Missy, Aaliyah and TuPac Shakur. His talents continued to develop naturally and eventually lead to singing, rapping and song writing.

In addition, he is also an accomplished artist and has created many paintings and sculptures, some of which have been shown at various art galleries throughout Atlanta.

"The Dream" was introduced to Laney Stewart at Redzone Entertainment in 2001, and although their first meeting wasn't very successful, things fared better the second time around and Laney pulled him into his camp, where they immediately started to write together for the multi-platinum group B2K.

In early 2003 he was signed by Laney Stewart to a new publishing deal with Morningside Trail through a joint venture with peermusic. Since then he has continued writing for other artists and his most recent collaborations include Britney Spears newest single, "Me Against The Music".

Terius just wrapped work on Jive artist Nivea's forthcoming sophomore effort (April 2005) including the hit single "Okay" featuring Lil' John and Youngbloodz.

IN 2006, Dream was brought in by Tricky Stewart, of Redzone, to write with several artists the company was working with such as, Atlantic artist, Bayje, Capitol artists Dear Jane and J. Holiday and Interscope artists Brit and Alex. All of such are due to release in 2007.

To kick off the new year, Dream started 2007 with a bang. With the help of Tricky, "Umbrella" was created and was shopped to several labels for several artists. From Britney Spears at Jive, to Mary J and Akon, but it was Karen Kwak of Universal Music that got the record into the hands of LA Reid and the rest is history. Dream knew right off that Rihanna would be the best artist out of all those incontention for the record. Island Def Jam flew Dream and Tricky to LA to record with Rihanna and also while there they wrote "Breakin Dishes".

STAY TUNNED FOR THE UPDATE!!!! Timberland, Justin Timberlake, Young Joc, Keke Palmer, Gia, Jazzy Pha, Tricky Stewart, Don Vito, Karina, Wynter Gordon, Shontelle, Lucy Walsh, Jay-z and more Rihanna.
