Dexter Johnson was taken down in a tackle maneuver by Sheriff's Deputies that were in the court room. Directly after being tackled by deputies, Dexter Johnson was taken from the court room. According to MyFoxHouston.com, this was not the first outburst in the courtroom on this day. The mother of Dexter Johnson began to cry when the death verdict was given, Johnson's family then tried to get near him at the defendants table, and the whole family had to be removed from the courtroom. The family of the victims remained in the court room for the rest of the hearing, even after almost being attacked by the defendant Dexter Johnson.
Dexter Johnson, according to MyFoxHouston.com and Fox News had been found guilty earlier last week in the deaths of Maria Aparece and Huy Ngo. Their deaths were one the terrible crimes committed in 2006 on Father's Day weekend and that had continued for almost a month. His trial had begun around June 4th of this year.
MyFoxHouston.com reports that the bodies of Maria Aparece and Huy Ngo were found in Northwest Houston in a field on Gateway Drive. The apparent motive in their deaths was a carjacking. However, they also lost their lives that day at the hands of Dexter Johnson and several other suspects.
The other suspects arrested for the crime spree were Keithron Fields who was 17 at the time, Timothy Randle who was 19, Alvie Butler aged 21 at the time of the crimes, and Ashley Ervin, who was 17 at the time. All were being charged with Capital Murder. According to a report from FoxNews.com on June 28th 2006 Johnson, Fields and Ervin were to be charged with two more counts of murder for Maria Aparece and Huy Ngo.
MyFoxHouston.com and Fox News say that it took the jury around four hours to come to their decision in this case.

Post a Commenthe is black, ther for he is guilty, duh
I think that it is ridiculous that Mr. Johnson gets the death penalty when everyone else gets life w/o parole. Then the sad thing about it is there is still a possibility that those with the life sentences may be able to get the sentence changed to life w/ parole. ( I have seen it happen) Yes the crime is wrong, but I think that a sentence should be the same for all across the bored. I also disagree with the death penalty because I believe in a higher power that people will have to answer to. Just my opinion and no one has to be nasty to me about it.
Dexter Is innocent who is anyone to judge was u there? did they find him with the murder weapon? No they did not so therefore he does not deserve the death penalty!
He's innocent & Justice will prevail ...

Doesnt matter whether he pulled the trigger or not..he was there so in this case he is charged the same. I feel so sorry for the family of Mr Johnson. I do not beleive in the death penalty and I dont think the jury should play god. Jasmine I wish you and your family the best!
