Degree Women Natureffects Review

Deodorant/Antiperspirant and Body Spray

Trisha Bartle
Degree Women, a leader in women's deodorant and antiperspirant, recently released a line of deodorant and body spray for spring. Degree Women Natureffects combines natural ingredients with nature-inspired scents to make you feel connected to nature.

Varying Scents

Degree Women Natureffects comes in three distinct scents for each deodorant and body spray combination. The best of these is the Orange Flower and Cranberry scent. It's fruity and light. While it's a fruity scent, it also has a basis in nature with a slight leafy smell.

The next best scent in Honeysuckle and Tea Tree Oil. This scent is flowery and leafy. If you smell the deodorant straight from the package, it won't smell that great. Once it's on the skin though, it smells much better. It's both sweet and flowery to present a feminine scent.

Olive Leaf and Pink Pepper was my least favorite scent of the bunch. It was a combination of leafy and spicy scents. Since I'm not a fan of spicy, musky fragrances, this didn't work well for me. If you like spicy scents, this might be a better choice for you than the other scents in the Degree Women Natureffects line.

Great Odor Control

The best part of the Degree Women Natureffects line is the odor control. I swiped on the invisible solid deodorant and smelled great for the rest of the day. Even on a day full of activity, I still smelled like the fragrance at the end of the day.

The body spray doesn't have as much staying power as the deodorant. Expect the scent to last about 6 hours for the spray. If you want it to last all day, you'll have to reapply.

Inadequate Antiperspirant

Besides being a deodorant, Degree Women Natureffects is also slated as an antiperspirant. In this way, the stick was inadequate. It didn't stop sweating very well and other brands perform this task a lot better. While I smelled good during a workout, I still poured in sweat under my arms. Since antiperspirant is one of the main selling points for the deodorant side of Degree Women Natureffects, it's a shame that it failed at this.

Good for Sensitive Skin

Many spray fragrances are harsh for those with allergies or sensitive skin and eyes. Luckily, if you have sensitive skin, Degree Natureffects body spray may work for you. It didn't cause any allergic welts, red skin or burning eyes. Since each person's sensitivities and allergies are different, you may want to test out this fragrance before purchasing it. While it worked well for me in this area, in may not for you.

Conclusion

Although Degree Women Natureffects smelled great and did a good job as a deodorant, it's a bad sign that it didn't act well as an antiperspirant. This can't be ignored. When looking for a deodorant/antiperspirant, consider Degree Women Natureffects only if the amount you sweat really isn't an issue. Since the body spray works well for sensitive skin and smells great, this is also a good choice for an inexpensive fragrance.

You can find Degree Women Natureffects deodorant and body spray in drug stores, mass market retailers and online stores for $3.99 sold separately.
