Del Seoul Restaurant Opens in Lincoln Park

I, like everyone else, was anticipating the opening of Del Seoul, located at 2568 North Clark Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. As soon as it opened, I was there. Well, actually, I went the day after it first opened. I ordered the shrimp tacos and kimchi fries and my boyfriend ordered the beef tacos and the pork tacos. He also joined me in ordering the kimchi fries. This was my first time eating Korean food, or should I say the combination of Korean and Mexican food, but I must say it was a pleasant experience, and the combination of the two styles was interesting. I loved the slaw because it had a sweet tang to it, just the way I like it.

The staff was also very friendly and the service was fast. After we were almost done eating, my boyfriend decided that he wanted to try the dumplings, so we got an order and my boyfriend said that he could have eaten another order, but decided not to. When you order your food, you go up to the counter, place your order, then get a number. You put the number on your table so that when your food is ready, they deliver it to you. I liked the vibe in the place, too. They play good music and its kind of cozy in there. We will definitely go back, but I wish it was closer to where we lived, so we could carry-out.
