The adoption process for ARK is very strict including screening and interviews. The fee is $100 for adults and $150 for kittens.This fee includes 3 years worth of vaccinations and spay or neuter. You can also have your new pet micro-chipped upon adoption for $20, or $35 if you bring them for micro-chipping later. Micro-chipping is a good idea so that you can ensure you will find your pet in case he or she gets lost or accidentally slips out of the house. West Volusia Humane Society in DeLand, Florida
The adoption process includes an application and an interview. The fee is $60 for all animals including cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies. This fee includes 1st booster, worming, and free first visit to a veterinarian. This fee also includes free obedience classes from West Volusia Kennel Club, this is very useful for dogs. The application form is available on their website and animals will only be adopted out upon approval, they have the right to refuse to adopt. Halifax Humane Society in Daytona Beach, Florida - very close to DeLand, Florida - follow the International Speedway Blvd to LPGA, follow LPGA until the shelter is on your left across from a large car dealership.
The adoption process for Halifax includes an application and an interview. The fee is $70 to adopt cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies - there are a few special pairs of animals that are adopted together for discount. They house approximately 350 animals at any given time. This adoption fee includes spay or neuter, vaccines, Home Again Microchip, as well as a veterinarian visit.
