Microsoft word is very common word processor software. Many people use it for their works or at home. It is easy and can be fast learning. It looks simple but completes enough to do all you need to manage your document. One of task that you can do in word is making footnote in a document. If you have many footnotes in a Microsoft Word 2007 document, you may think they'll be hard to manage when you must make changes. Deleting all of them, for instance, may seem like a difficult task. However, you can delete all footnotes in your Word document at once by using the Find and Replace command.

Here's how to do that.

Step1

Start Microsoft Word 2007 and open your document from your files that contains footnotes that you want to delete all at once.

Step2

Click the "Home" tab at the left top of the Word 2007 screen to display the Home ribbon.

Step3

Select the "Replace [Ctrl + H]" button from the "Editing" section of the Home ribbon. The Find and Replace dialog box will open onto the screen with the "Replace" tab displayed at the top.

Step4

Type "^f" (without the quotes) in the "Find what" text box in the Find and Replace dialog box. This instructs Word to search for footnotes within the document.

Step5

Make sure that the "Replace with" text box is blank. This instructs Word to delete the footmarks that it finds in the document.

Step6

Click the "Replace All" button at the bottom. Word will find and delete all the footnotes within the document.

Step7

Choose the "Cancel" button to close the Find and Replace dialog box after the footnotes have deleted. And it's done. All footnotes in your document are gone.
