Delicious Pasta Cookbooks

Jamie Cortez
Delicious pasta dishes are not difficult to prepare and cook but when you have the right guide to point you to the right direction it gets even easier. Anyway here are four excellent cookbooks that explain how to make splendidly delicious pasta dishes whenever you feel like it.

The Essential Pasta Cookbook (ISBN-10: 1551106566)

When you need to make fast yet delicious pasta dishes you should buy this book. Most of the recipes in this book took less than half an hour to prepare and cook. The first chapter tells you how to make the popular pasta sauces (pesto, Bolognese, etc) and starting from the second chapter this book shows Every recipe has a photo of how it should look like when you're done cooking it. This book also covers all the important pasta basics including how to make home-made pasta.

Pasta Fresca: An Exuberant Collection of Fresh, Vivid, and Simple Pasta Recipes (ISBN-10: 0060935081)

Freshness is the focus for this pasta cookbook. Interesting new ingredients used to make mouth-watering pasta dishes that only took minutes to cook. You can find over 120 recipes for pasta sauces, soups, stuffed and baked pasta all easy and simple to follow. It also has instructions for making your own pasta. Make sure you try the recipe for the raw sauces. They're excellent.

Pasta (ISBN-10: 0756618908)

Yep, that's the title for this cookbook. Short isn't it? The recipes are not to numerous either with only about forty recipes in total. However that doesn't make this a bad book. In fact this is really an excellent cookbook. Plenty of basic knowledge and how-to for beginner and the recipes are very well laid out in a step-by-step manner. The recipe organization is pretty good too. The recipes are divided according to the "main flavor"; cheese & butter, tomatoes, meat, seafood, greens, olives, garlic, lentils & beans, filled pasta and eggplants & peppers. The best thing is that the cook-time is clearly mentioned for each recipe (quick slow, bake, etc).

The Complete Book of Pasta and Noodles (ISBN-10: 060980930X)

This book comprehensively covers both pasta and noodle recipes. Since pasta and noodle are made from basically the same ingredients it's not too surprising if there's a book that covers those two in a whole. The finest point of this book is the way it organizes pasta sauce recipes. There are plenty of interesting new ideas and tips that you can try and the amount of recipes is just overwhelming. Unlike the three cookbooks mentioned previously this one doesn't tell you how to make your own pasta so if you're interested in making home-made pasta this book is not for you.
