Delivered from Depression

Some common symptoms of depression are: feelings of sadness, crying, ugliness, irritation, isolation, appetite(not eating or over eating), hating oneself, thoughts of harming oneself, suicidal,etc.

I believe depression isn't just a downward mood of feeling sad, but a more spiritual condition. It's naturally common for anyone to experience the blues in life sometimes. But something is wrong when the individual can't come back to reality. That's why I believe it's also spiritual. Ephesians 6:12 says " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I believe everyone wrestles with something or somethings in life. Depression is one of the things I wrestled with as a teen.

Teens experience all types of drama in their lives which can lead to depression. Somethings can be friendships, relationships, peer pressure, being bullied and the list can go on. Depression had a hold on me until I came into the knowledge of Jesus Christ.Today I'm free of depression"Glory be unto God".When I got saved and received Jesus Christ into my life he made me free from this condition that held me captive. John 8:36 says " If the son therefore shall make you free ye shall be free indeed. I believe only Jesus Christ can free people from different things that have them captive. Satan is the spiritual force that come to steal, kill and to destroy in John 10:10. My joy was stolen, he had killed my spirit, &then he begin to mind manipulate me to destroy myself Through suicide. This is why teens to adults are killing themselves today. Satan mind manipulate them, convincing them that suicide is the best option, it's the best way out he says. Then he says go ahead do it, no one loves you or care anyway. I believed every lie he said until I heard another voice very loudly say "DON'T DO THAT". Someone may say I had a schizo-affected disorder, who knows, I did have some issues. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish. Then 1Peter 5:7 says " Cast all your cares upon him for he cares for you. God cared for me and he loved me very much, and my family. I couldn't see it because my mind was closed and manipulated by Satan.

Depression begins in the mind. It interrupts or alter the thought process. Philippians 4:8 talks about keys to positive thinking,how to keep your mind focus on good things.That's why it's so good to surround yourself around positive thinking, speaking and living people. Negativism is like a cancer to me, it eat at you& affects you once its received.

I encourage anyone who is reading this, if you are depressed , have a teen whose depressed or know someone facing this condition , I advise you to seek professional help immediately. Because I don't see nothing wrong with going to a doctor who specializes in this type of condition.Even though I never had any professional counseling,I'm a living testimony that God can deliver one from Depression.
